  1. If you run Now Contact on a network, you can share Contact information with other network users who have the application installed. You do this by using Public Categories stored on a Public Contact Server, rather than the Private Categories stored in your personal Contact File. All users can view and modify Contacts that post to Public Categories. (Only specific users can view and modify Contacts that belong to a password-protected Public Category.) You can also create and edit Public Contacts while temporarily disconnected from the Server, and they are automatically reconciled when you re-connect.

  3. NOTE: You need a Public Contact Server Macintosh (a Macintosh that stores Public Category information) on your network. If one does not exist on your network, consult with your network administrator.
